Once I had achieved a snug fit with a good finish, I sealed the modelboard with a plaster sealer as this was more suitable for the application. 2 coats of primer & top coat were applied with light sanding inbetween the primer coats. I wanted a blue colour for the speaker housing as blue is an aquatic colour & I was able to have a pearlesant shade mixed as this represented some of the properties of water.
